Basic Manuscript Evaluations Extended Manuscript Evaluations

BASIC LITERARY EVALUATION:

The purpose of The Golden Quill Press Literary Evaluation is to assist Writers/Authors in gaining insight into ways their work (manuscript, poetry, short story, novel, query, proposal or other materials) might benefit from Professional Analysis and Suggestions.

Recommendations are made on the following and may include other points as appropriate to the writers work:

- Basic overview of your manuscript

- Sample Editing (Sample Editing of 1 double-spaced pages)

- General Analysis (overview) and Publishing Potential

Editing of materials is done on two major levels:

1. Concept/content editing, is done with an eye and ear for the over all professional quality and marketability of the writers work.

2. Copy editing, also called line editing, focuses on format, structure, punctuation, grammar, and spelling

Writers MUST BE 18 years of age or older

or have signed permission from parent or guardian

All information will be kept confidential

You will receive a written report to help determine writing/publishing goals and potential.

The fee is $175.00 for a double spaced, single-sided, manuscript up to 200 pages

EXTENSIVE LITERARY EVALUATION:

Recommendations are made on the following and may include other points as appropriate to the writers work:

- Organization

- Format

- Continuity (flow)

- Tone and Style

- Language (clear and concise)

- Grammar (spelling, punctuation, etc.)

- Structure

- Sample Editing (Editing of 10 double-spaced pages)

- General Analysis (overview) and Publishing Potential

Editing of materials is done on two major levels:

1. Concept/content editing, is done with an eye and ear for all of the above.

The overall professional quality and marketability of the writers work will be considered

2. Copy editing, also called line editing, focuses on format, structure, punctuation, grammar, and spelling

The fee is $475.00: double spaced, single-sided, Font 12pt up to 200 pages
